These rumors aren’t really such fiction either since a lot of them were based on facts, analysis and figures and above all what the staff and CEOs of Samsung said about their latest phone. The latest news are that the release date will be in April, which is just around the corner! This time the rumor is backed up by an official representative of Samsung, and not some anonymous CEOs that have been cited a lot before.
The Launch Event is in May, but may be Moved to April?
The man in the spotlight today is Senior Vice President of Samsung China, Kim Young-Ha who in a recent show said that Samsung is considering to move the Galaxy S3 release date and launch event from May to April. This is some major news and quite an unexpected turn for the S3.
But why all of this so sudden? There must be some factor (or factors) that made Samsung step on the peddle and get more serious about launching the Galaxy S3 sooner than expected. Are the many new releases of other phones threatening the Korean giant? Surely not, since the stocks are booming and Samsung recently made some huge success in China. They now make 24% of all shares on the phone market, which is three times higher than the arch-rival Apple.
Others say that perhaps Samsung finished all the preparations for the Galaxy S3 sooner than expected and no longer sees any reasons for postponing the release date. If all the arrangements are made with the US carriers then the phone may really be released the next month.
