Sounds like Facebook don’t allows us to do work even while we are not using Facebook ,Facebook announced their new messenger client for windows platform with desktop notifications and sidebar news ticker. which is currently on Beta (testing) stage and available for download.
This news really hurts some most used instant messengers like digsby ,nimbuzz as they are currently supporting Facebook chat(main user attraction).But its a great treat for Facebook lovers now they never miss any new comments,other notifications and can always stay connected with their friends and don’t needs to open the browser every time .there is a Facebook ticker as seen on right side of your profile ,which gives you real time activities of your friends.With the new desktop alerts windows users can get the real time notifications right on your desktop which may really tease you to visit Facebook while on the work

.But the bad thing we found that you must logged in a browser first and must enable “available to chat” in order to get the notifications and alerts and also cant manage the chat visibility in desktop client we need to change it manually in Facebook profile every time and no matter browser is opened or closed but must logged in first.
This is just a beta version of the client and the actual software may have more improved features and Facebook is trying to make it more user friendly and adding other great features to it .
