Well, it can be said nearly a smartphone as it comes with some pre-loaded Android based applications and also performs as a feature phone. ZTE Chorus comes with a full touch screen and a candy bar design measuring 111 x 57 x 14.8 mm and weighing 105 grams. It is made out of glossy plastic with rounded edges. Located on the front side is 3.2 inches resistive touchscreen with 240 x 400 pixels resolution. The screen delivers quite good quality and comes with accelerometer and swipe gestures. Below the screen are touch-sensitive keys that represent Menu or Speakerphone and Home or Back function. Between the two touch-sensitive keys is a big round physical key dedicated for music feature. Around the phone’s side are a Lock screen key, a microUSB port, volume rocker keys, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The back side is resided by camera lens and speakerphone.

ZTE Chorus runs on Cricket’s CDMA network and supports 1xEV-DO Rev. 0 up to 2.4 Mbps data connectivity. As mention earlier, there are some Android-based applications that are coming with Chorus. One of them is the stock Android web browser for surfing internet in Chorus that supports HTML web pages. Other connectivity includes Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and EDR, microUSB v2.0 connection and GPS. Under the hood, ZTE Chorus is powered by 600 MHz processor with 256 MB RAM.

In term of camera, ZTE Chorus is equipped by 2 megapixels camera with no autofocus or flash. It manages to capture images up to 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution in average quality. It can also be functioned as a camcorder to record video but limited only on QVGA resolution at 15 fps video. To store data, Chorus comes with 512 MB storage but only 152 MB is available for user. In addition, there is additional external memory via microSD card up to 32 GB.

As mention earlier, the main feature of ZTE Chorus is music as it is supported by Muve Music application. It delivers impressive audio sound that is utilized by SRS WOW HD technology. It can be said impressive as the application manages to carry out great audio quality with deep, rich bass and high frequency clarity. The phone itself supports music in MP3/WAV/eAAC+ formats as well as video in MP4/H.264/H.263 formats.

Messaging feature of ZTE Chorus includes SMS (threaded view), MMS, IM, and Email. Email service manages to support IMAP, POP3 and SMTP accounts as well as Push email. Other features include Organizer, Voice memo, Voice dial, Voice recorder, Documents To Go, and File browser. Last but not least, ZTE Chorus is supported by standard battery Li-Ion 1000 mAh that is rated up to 4 hours 10 minutes of talk time or up to 220 hours of standby time.
