At first glance, you may think that Huawei M735 is a stylish phone with great feature. In fact, as you take a deeper exploration, everything in this phone come as the contrary. In term of design and exterior, it comes in outmoded touchscreen phone with a stylus. It still equipped by a stylus as the display only features 2.8 inches plastic resistive touchscreen in 320 x 240 pixels resolution. Frankly to say, the resistive touchscreen is less sensitive than you would like it to be so you have to press firmly on the screen or use 2 inches long stylus to get quicker and more precise touch. It also comes with compact design measuring 105 x 56 x 11 mm and weighing 105 grams. Below the screen, there is a circular toggle pad with central OK or Select key along with a Talk key and an End key on either side of the circular toggle. On the right side, there are volume rocker keys and camera shutter. The top side is resided by 3.5 mm headset jack and microUSB charging port. The backside is resided by camera lens while the stylus is stuck in the bottom right corner of the phone’s backside.

It comes with MetroPCS network supports running on tri band 2G 1xRTT (850/1700/1900 MHz) CDMA network. For data network, it only supports EVDO data network that made the phone works very slow in rendering WAP pages on the Opera Mobile Web browser. Other connectivity includes Bluetooth and GPS with MetroNavigator offering free, turn-by-turn and voice-enabled GPS directions.

For messaging features, Huawei M735 comes with text messaging (SMS), multimedia messaging (MMS), Instant Messaging (IM) and email. Instant Messaging feature manages to work with AIM, Windows Live Messenger, and Yahoo Messenger but it may take much time to install and connect. Text input can only be done by using virtual on screen keyboard. The virtual on screen QWERTY keyboard comes with its worst in both portrait and landscape view. Keep in mind that there is no Accelerometer, means that the screen will not automatically change its view when you rotating the screen. To get full QWERTY keyboard in landscape view, you have to expand the landscape view manually by tapping an icon.

In multimedia features, Huawei M735 gives its poor performance as it only features camera and music player. There are no camcorder function and video player. Coming to the camera, Huawei M735 is equipped by 3 megapixels camera with no flash or autofocus. The images qualities produce is OK but still average. The music player comes with standard setting as well and it is quite hard to navigate. For the storage, Huawei M735 provides only 68 MB internal memory and additional external memory up to 8 GB.
