The optional mobile dock accessory will be sold separately and priced at $149.

Asus Transformer Prime has become the most anticipated tablets because it is the first tablet to employ NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. Powering its performance, it has been set to run on Android 3.2 Honeycomb, with an optional update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the future. Coming on the design and exterior, Transformer Prime comes with ultra thin body measuring only 8.3 mm depth - quite similar with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Apple iPad 2 depths. It is also very light weighing 1.32 pounds. The display features 10.1 inches WXGA Super IPS+ capacitive display. The display screen appears to be so bright, clear and sharp even outside in the brightly sun. The display screen is also enhanced by Corning Gorilla Glass protection along with its 178° viewing angle. Exploring on its exterior, Transformer Prime appears in an elegant and premium look. Right above the display, there is a 1.2 megapixels camera. On the left side, there are volume control buttons, a microphone pinhole, microSD slot and a Micro-HDMI port while on the right side sits a headphone jack. A power or lock button and a second microphone pinhole is located on top of the Transformer Prime while a 40 pins connector port for data or power is on the bottom side. The backside features 8 megapixels camera with LED flash. The battery also comes in powerful feature with total 18 hours battery left when combined with the mobile dock.

After announcing Transformer Prime release date and receiving the weakness point reports, Asus are really enthusiast in releasing the new model of Transformer Prime. The new model will surely bring up better features as well as improvement from the original Transformer Prime model. One of the new models that are being prepared by Asus will comes under the name of Transformer Prime HD. Implies from its name, this new tablets will surely employ HD screen of 1920 × 1200 pixels resolution. That is doubles of its original model, which comes with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The HD version of Transformer Prime actually has been exhibited on the last CES 2012. However, you may have to be patient because the HD version of Transformer Prime release date will be on June 2012.
